In 2002, GT Morstroy completed the reconstruction of the berthing dolphin of the upper approach of the Kochetovsky hydroelectric complex shipping lock on the Don River.
The berthing dolphin has length of 242 m and average width of 6.5 m. The depth at the apron is 5.5 m.
The berthing dolphin is a two-row inter-barrier wall made of metal sheet pile.
The coating is made of monolithic reinforced concrete.
The berthing dolphin is equipped with 20 tf mooring bollards and a metal guard railing.
Reconstruction of the dolphin ensured the passage of up to 5 thousand tons ships and increased the safety of navigation through the lock.
